Oriental Redfish Fillets

Serves 2 - 3


  • 2-3lb of Redfish
  • 4 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp of sesame seeds
  • 1 cup of sliced onions
  • 2 tbsp of minced ginger
  • 3 gloves of garlic - peeled and minced
  • ΒΌ cup of soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 8 sprigs of Chives

Cooking Method

Brush the fillets with the sesame oil

Spread the sesame seeds on a flat surface, and press each side of the redfish filets into them

Grill for approx. 3 minutes per side on a hot grill

Set aside

In a saucepan heat remaining the sesame oil

Place the onions in the oil and cook for 2 minutes

Add the garlic and continue cooking for a further 2 minutes

Add the soy sauce, and salt and pepper to taste

Place the fillets on serving plates, and pour the sauce over

Garnish with chives
